a drive in the country in mid-march | |||
worn-out fields and tired trees, weary from winter's fight stand like frozen statues in nature's barren gallery. . breath of floral-scented breeze, soft crash of wave on river-bank raindrops like pebbles on aching snow a black bear's waking yawn. . fresh leaves in all their tender glory, timid blossoms spreading their wings... rays of sunshine like warriors spearing, newborn sparrows take to flight. . the goddess of spring arrives.
