The times I've lived. | |||
The Times I've Lived by Rene Amador The times I’ve lived are so much different from the times I remember. While I live in the moment, colors are vivid. Sounds and voices are crystal clear. Tastes and smells whet my appetite. I swim in a sea of senses, holding my breath, hoping not to drown while relishing and recording each experience. I wish that it never ends, but like many things it inevitably does pass. When I remember the good times, even one day later, the memories are glossed over ever so slightly so that they don’t seem genuine. With each passing day the colors loose their hues. Sounds and voices become muffled and mute. Tastes and smells become bland and unsatisfying. Already five minutes have passed by and the memories have moved farther away, harder to grasp onto. Tweet
