This is a poem about the feelings that occur when you discover you have fallen in love with a close friend. | |||
Brightly Dim So brightly dim I hold my heart before your tender fires. Long have I walked, on broken roads, without a sole for comfort, to stand before this glorious flame, and absorb from it such gentle warmth as I have not yet known. One thousand miles I have come and with so little in pocket, through you, I have so much. So dimly bright I hold my heart before your tender fires. A spark does fly, and so ignites my soul with much desire. So should I release myself, my heart, and in this warm twilight dwell? To risk that which is so dear to me, my future I cannot fortell. So stand I silent through the night close to you I do rest, and pray that in some close time ahead, this fire I should test. So brightly dim I hold my heart a glow with your tender fires. Tweet
