It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Super-Catie! | |||
My parents keep several large monsters in our house. They’re about the same size as me, they’re covered in hair, they have scary yellow eyes and they make lots of noise. My parents think they’re funny. The only one who doesn’t like them is my Aunt Sarah, who kicks them off the couches and snarls at them when they get close to me. My Aunt Sarah is cool. She tells great stories, is hysterically funny, and makes good funny faces. My mother thinks my Aunt Sarah is insane, and my father thinks my Aunt Sarah is crazy. I think my Aunt Sarah is wonderful. My Aunt Sarah lets me fly around the house whenever I want. I soar and twist and flip around, and she just laughs. I never get in trouble. She’s like Mary Poppins, magical things just seem to happen. She walks around and sings all the time. The huge hairy monsters are afraid of her, they run away from her. She tells me great stories about her friends and her life. She’s so interesting. My Aunt Sarah knows how to do everything just like my mother does it. From dinner to the bath to the bed, it’s all just right, and if I close my eyes it’s like it’s my mother and not my Aunt Sarah. I never mind my mother leaving me with my Aunt Sarah because I know it will be so much fun. Of course, I’m only three months old, so that might change. Tweet
