I shiver in the empty coldness 

Shudder in the eerie quietness 

Hear you reprimand with gentleness 

As you scold my silliness, 

“Don’t you know that I am with you, 

Don’t you hear me calling to you, 

Don’t you feel my arms around you, 

Do you think I’d really leave you? 

Sarah, love, turn on the light 

Don’t you see you just can’t fight 

Against all this that feels so right? 

Let me hold you, close and tight. 

Hurry, put your arms around me 

Hush now, darling, listen to me 

You’re only trying to forget me 

Instead of waiting for me.”
