I normally don't believe in love at first sight. But I feel something is special about me and him. I just can't quite put my finger on what it is.

The inside of the house was just as endearing. The kitchen/dining room
was huge with plenty of space for cooking and baking. Then there was a
long staircase up to the second floor attached to the two rooms that
made up the living room. Off back of the living room was the family
room with a bathroom attached. This is where we were.

"This is okay," I said referring to the Salisbury steak and trying to
spark some sort of conversation. I needed to get comfortable.

"I like it," Marc says. "So what have you been up too? I never see you
around and every time I see your sister I ask her about you."

"I'm okay. Just going to school fulltime and trying to stay out of
trouble. What about you? Are you still up at Michigan?

"Yes," he says. "I am just home for the weekend. We have this last
weekend off before the season starts."

"I know you're happy because timing couldn't be better to give your
ankle some time to heel." I am blabbering!

"I may have to miss a few practices but I guess you can say I am lucky.
I could've broken it," Marc is now babbling.

"So, where's your father?" I need to know. I am in the man's house and
all.

"He is in New Orleans," Marc says. "He is having a house built there
for when he retires in a couple of years."

"My parent's are moving south, too, after they retire. Not far from him
either in Mississippi."

I could talk forever to those deep brown eyes and rugged looks. You
could definitely tell Marc was an athlete. He was tall, about six feet
four, with bushy eyebrows and gorgeous hands. His skin was smooth and
the color of honey. His body was lean and well conditioned and he had
one of the sexiest walks I had ever seen not even the limp could spoil
that.

I normally don't believe in love at first sight. But I feel something
is special about me and him. I just can't quite put my finger on what
it is. Maybe it is the way he looks at me and listens to what I say
like I am the only thing going in this universe. He has a unique way
of getting me to feel comfortable. I know we've known each other for
years, but nothing ever came of that except me telling him back then
that he was too young for me and him pretty much giving up after that.
Besides, most of our contact with each other at that time was playing
baseball at the field that is now directly adjacent to the home we are
in today.

He is politely asking me if I wanted something to drink and just as he
looks at me again he catches a look on my face that I did not want to
reveal to him so soon. From his facial expression I can tell he has
read me like a book. I am definitely attracted to this guy and I
should leave soon because if I don't I can't be held responsible for
my actions.

too proud to beg. Atleast not anonymously.....
