Rhyn decided to go to a party, but boy, did she have too much to drink. She couldn't remember a thing about the bight before, then her friend tell her some revealing news.

Rhian made her way down the stairs - still half asleep. And it was one-
o'clock in the afternoon. What a party it had been the night before.
But boy, was she beginning to regret drinking so much.

Once down the stairs and into the kitchen, she switched on the kettle,
then searched for some paracetamol. Could she find them? Then while
searching she heard a knock at the door.

'What do you want?' she asked the caller when she finally answered the
door.'

‘Charming,' replied her friend Shirley. ‘You shouldn't have had too much
to drink at the party.'

‘I haven't got a hangover if that is what you think?.'

‘Of course, you haven't.'

‘You'd better come in. I've put the kettle on.'

‘How much do you remember about last night?' Shirley asked once they
were inside Rhian's kitchen.

‘Very little. I can't even remember getting home.'

No wonder she couldn't remember getting home. She was like the party
animal gone mad. One of her friends called her brother to come and pick
her up.

‘I didn't do anything silly at that party, did I?'

‘Not really, but you did agree to go out on a date with Liam this
Saturday night to the cinema.'

‘I what?'

‘He asked you out and you said yes, then agreed to meet him outside the
multiplex at six-thirty.'

Liam was this boy she worked with at a supermarket in town. They had
been out together before, but for some reason, he dumped her. He was
now going out with another girl who worked in a nearby salon. How
envious Rhian had become of her.

When Shirley had left to make her way into town, Rhian made something to
eat, then went back to bed and watched some TV, but she couldn't
concentrate. All she could think about was Liam and the fact that he
had asked her out to the cinema.

The next morning Rhian got up, showered, dressed, then went down the
stairs to get her breakfast. She was going to have a word with him when
she got into work. She wanted to go back out with him more than
anything, But she had seen him two days before with the girl from the
salon. How come he had finished with her all of a sudden? Or was he
about to two-time her by going out with Rhyan? She was going to find
out.

When she got to work, she went looking for him. She couldn't find him
anywhere. She looked all over the shop floor, but there was no sign of
him.

‘Hey, Elise, have you seen Liam?'

‘Liam? He's not in today. He's gone to a funeral.'

‘Are you sure?'

‘I should be. I'm his supervisor, remember? He asked me for the time off
He's off tomorrow as well.'

Rhian was confused. The day after tomorrow would be Saturday - the day
when they were supposed to be going to the cinema together unless
Shirley was lying.

She phoned Shirley during her break.
