She struggles to understand how, despite everything she's done to hide herself from him, he knows.

how could you know if I never explained it?

how could you know if I left it unsaid?

how could you know when I hid every day

in my chest and I cowered inside of my head?

how could you know that I loved you this whole time?

how could you know when my eyes were so dead?

how could you know when I screamed and ran from you

that I looked in your eyes and I thought I saw dread?

how did you know my words weren't all lies?

how did you know that I wanted you badly?

how did you know I believed every word

that you said but I buried it deep down inside?

how do you know me so well inside out?

how can you climb down into that dark chasm

inside of my chest and then pull me right out?
