Kinda a prelude to "Keeping It Honest." Sometimes in life living it as a robot is better than experiencing the pain OF life. | |||
The Android's Regret * When I'm not with you I feel like half of me is missing. I'm not whole, complete. I'm an empty shell waiting to fall. * When I'm with you I'm on top of the world. I feel carefree and light as a feather. I could conquer the world. * When I'm coming to see you I feel this overwhelming excitement. I can't get there fast enough. Time crawls at a snail's pace. * When I leave you I feel like I loved on borrowed time. Like it was special only to me. You bided your time until you could escape. * Nothing is the way it was. I'm not upset about that. What worries me is something more. Something I can't deal with. * You make it seem like there's nothing you want from me. Like our time has come and gone. I'm a “thing” of the past. * You fail to understand one key fact. I'm a person with feelings and emotions. You took the robot and made her human. There are times now when I wish you hadn't. © December 27, 2010 by Lori Tweet
