Even when love takes a wrong turn you can't help but remain in love with the person who captured your heart. | |||
Eternally Yours My hands are at a stand still. Words seem to fail. Images flash before my eyes. At times, I forget to exhale. The heart is bruised. Walls refuse to be scaled. The soul has a new scar. Don't choose to inhale. ~ What once was can no longer be. What is to come won't be as sweet. Nonetheless envisioning the light at the end of the tunnel. Though it's something I want to delete. If not deserving, misery is what I desire. To me, that would be a treat. Yearning to experience disgust and despair. Without you, I am no longer complete. ~ But life doesn't work that way. It seems to have other, god-awful, plans. The feet move in your opposing direction. The heart discovers ways to expand. The body continues to function. The soul recovers by my own hands. The mind isn't what it seems on the outside. For the inside surrenders without the man. ~ I'll forgo feelings of being reckless. I won't look for the lonely, illuminating, sun. Will silently observe the beauty around me. I refuse to be broken or undone. Presently, protection is the name of the game. A game which can't, won't, doesn't want to be won. It's okay for I see the differences in life. All because I finally found, and lost, the one. © March 23, 2010 by Lori Tweet
