Every week we have a Creative Challenge. This week's phrase was "Just before dawn." This is what I wrote with the help of a friend.

I Pledge My All

~

Just before dawn,

the sky still dark,

the moon shines brightly,

stars glow and spark;

I call out to the heavens-

plead my case,

beg for a chance,

to see your face.

~

Two souls connected,

making us one.

Two hearts rejoice;

passion begun.

No vows taken-

none are needed.

Words of love

are what have succeeded.

~

Birds sing

as we wake to light

and return to homes;

we've shared one night.

This love is forbidden;

we hate to part.

But I swear to give you

my body, soul, and heart.
