A bird learns where freedom lies. | |||
Escaping the Gilded Cage Once a beautiful bird flew high in the sky. She had goals of starting a family. She planned to build a safe nest. Somewhere along the way, the bird traded happiness for comfort and security. ~ Now the bird is caged by four walls which bind her to a life she doesn't remember starting. She's imprisoned by society, moral obligations, and family responsibilities. The bars, of safety, have become too strong. Our little bird has become too weak. ~ A ray of light offers glimpses of improvement. But first the little bird has to find out who she is. She starts to plan new adventures. She fantasizes about new possibilities. She's thrilled at the prospect of a better life. The little bird just needs to find the key. ~ One day the bird awakens. She sees bright sunlight, clear skies, and feels gentle breezes rustling her feathers. A thought becomes clear in her mind. The key to opening the cage is forgiveness.
