When you truly love someone you can see both sides.

Mirror Images 

I can see the darkness 

which lurks in your eyes. 

Feelings of insecurity 

about your own value.

I can see the darkness 

which shadows your heart. 

Afraid to love 

and lose again. 

~ 

I can see the darkness 

which shrouds your soul. 

You're so scared of being wrong 

that you prove yourself right. 

~ 

I can see the light 

which shines from your eyes. 

An inner torch 

means you're so full of life. 

~ 

I can see the light 

which shines from your heart. 

A love light 

means you'll never be alone. 

~ 

I can see the light 

which shines from your soul. 

A beckon of purity 

you hide from the world. 

~ 

Light and dark, 

joy and sorrow. 

You hide from one 

to live with another. 

Like me, you're not complete 

unless you can see both 

and be happy with who you are.
