This had such a hidden meaning I didn't even know it until someone pointed it out to me :oS. It's about a child abuse victim getting her revenge. | |||
Killing Love I see, in my hand, the gun, drop it to the ground, feel a desire to run. Flee from the scene, high tail it out of here, caught in siren and lights, I look like a deer, caught in the sight. ~ You on the ground, grasping for air, bleeding from the wound. You look at me, eyes full of love, and wonder how this could be. With the last breath you wonder what caused this death. ~ Today I did what I set out to do. I wanted to stop the pain, wanted to hurt you. By killing love, I've released your soul, now it'll fly like a dove. ~ Rotting in the grave, you'll be forgotten. And I'll be in prison picking cotton. Whatever. Who cares? The pain has stopped, and so has my love for you. © November 19, 2007 by Lori Tweet
