And they call this puppy love... | |||
This is Love If I was any good at poetry I couldn't write enough I'd write you beautiful sonnets With ‘thees' and ‘thous' and stuff. But I'm no good at English I can't arrange my words I tend to babble and meander As no doubt you have observed. But I'll try and write it anyway Although I can't really rhyme And there won't be an equal number of beats Like there should be in every line. Well anyway here I go I promise I'll get these words out And I'll try and say them quietly Although really I long to shout. Well you see I sort of love you, And when I see you walking around My eyes go kind of blurry And my blood begins to pound. When I try and talk to you I stammer and then I squeak And then you give me this awful look And I feel like a circus freak. I realise it's not your fault I know you're not to blame And really it doesn't matter That you don't remember my name. Oh, I hate this awful poem! Everything's come out wrong It was supposed to be sweet and romantic Like a ballad or a great love song Well that's the best I can do I suppose there's nothing left to say Only that I think I'll always love you Until my final day Tweet
