"Terrible" - a, 'causing fear'; from the Latin "Terrere", frighten.

I feel as though I am falling,

as into a black abyss; endless

and terrible, still clutching

at that which bears me ever downward.

.

And looking up, I see through a mist

of fear, the hands that extend

to lend me aid - grasping,

but hopelessly out of reach.

.

And tightly in my hands, though

gravity would wrench it free,

the weight of possibility, the

last thread of a desperate dream.
