There is always one who is ignored. | |||
I feel so neglected. I sit here alone, day after day. People are continually passing me by, never stopping to say hello, not even the ones who pass every day. And at parties, when someone is standing nearby, they don’t give me a second glance, even when I am wearing my prettiest hat. Even when someone will sit next to me on the sofa, they never pay me any attention. They all act as though I can’t see them, as though I don’t know they’re there. And the worst thing? What makes me feel the worst? That’s when someone sits down at my table, sits there and eats and talks to their friends, or their husband or wife or child, and completely ignores me. What an insult!
