There are times when love isn't perfect. But it always leaves the hope of it being more. This is a tale of a woman who can't resist the promise he'll come home to her instead some day. | |||
Come Home To Me Instead As the sun sinks and sets things in the night shift. The business man goes on the prowl. The façade begins to drift. The tiger comes out to play. The vampire looks for a bite. The werewolf starts to growl. All brings me delight. ~~ I patiently wait for it to be my turn. My eyes tear with longing. My body sparks and burns. My mind goes blank. My heart craves more. My soul finds a place of rest. One with no closed door. ~~ Footsteps cause me to jump. Anticipation courses through me. Any minute he'll walk around the corner. Any second now I'll get to see. His eyes, hands, mouth, face. That's when the real fire will burst. His touch is like molten lava. His kiss quenches my thirst. ~~ I don't let negative thoughts intrude. I focus on the here and now. On being in his arms and listening to his screaming wow. Visualize him behind me waiting for sexual depletion. As he fills me with joy and releases a sense of spiritual completion. ~~ Our time comes to an end. Before we know it we have to say goodbye. He goes his way; I go mine. We both send a prayer to the Man in the sky. Let the separation be short. Let us be together again soon. Don't let obstacles stop us. Promise once more we'll kiss under the moon. Tweet
