They have a connection...but something is stopping it from flaring to life.

I remember the time

I slept next to you

I could roll over

And gaze at your face

We were so connected

But a fine silk thread

Stood between us

And kept my place.

Over time the thread frayed

And closer we strayed

But something had changed

In your face.

A glass wall instead

Took place of the thread

How I miss that time

Oh, and that place.
