This is a creative writing class assignment 2 - using all senses.

Creative Writing Assignment 2 – by Peter

I was interested by this assignment, which identifies 8 senses. I
immediately thought of a book, which I can't remember the title of and
saw in a bookshop only last week. I went back to that bookshop today
and could not find the book. Also I could not find it on their computer
system. Damn. In this mysterious, small book, the author identified a
number of senses, 12 I think. But I'm not sure.

There is my list of the senses, which is 14 (also based on the on the
list in exercise):

* sound * sight * taste * smell * touch (feel) * time * space * unknown
* religion / spirituality * soul * purpose * place / belonging
(possibly the same as space) * love (how do you express “love” in
writing without using the word “love”?). * eroticism

Part One ********

[ One sentence (or para) for each sense ]

The stereo was loud. Playing some nameless pop song, bopping away, with
a thumping base.

His arm quickly moved, quite unintentionally across the table, swiping
the crystal glass and knocking it off the table. It shattered into a
million pieces. Red wine spilt everywhere.

He sipped at the drink. It was a chocolatey liqueur which was creamy and
rich.

The aroma of sizzling pork sausages and onions was beautiful. He could
hardly wait.

As the shard of glass entered his finger he felt a sudden sharpness of
pain.

It was only 2am. Another four hours before his alarm would go off.

It was a very large area. All around him he could only see horizon. This
was big!

The jet fighter was spinning out of control, and he didn't know which
way was up.

“Jesus save me! For the love of Christ, save me.”

I am at piece with myself, and I know that I'll go to heaven.

This is what I was put here to do.

This is my home. This is where I feel at ease.

That's my girl, God bless her.

She's a beautiful woman, why I'd love to...

Part Two ********

[ A para using all senses. This was originally one big paragraph, but I
thought that it naturally broke into two. ]

Julie pulled on the black plastic sleeveless vest and zipped it up from
navel to neck. It felt fantastic. Then she pulled on the black rubber
stockings that zipped up all the way to the top of her thighs. They
hugged her and felt so smooth. Jon's eyes slowly surveyed Julie from
her head slowly down her curvaceous body and down her glossy black
costume. Julie led him into the bedroom; it was only about three metres
by four metres, and it was dominated by a four poster bed.

Julie commanded Jon to disrobe, which he did almost instantly. He neatly
folded his clothes on a chair in the corner. Jon didn't know quite what
Julie had in store for him, but he knew that he didn't want to miss out
on it, whatever it was. Julie ordered Jon onto the bed, which he did.
Her voice was dulcet but firm. It was ten past noon and Julie knew that
she had to be back at work by two, when her lunch would be over. Then
Julie got out a length of soft, thick cotton rope, and proceeded to
entangle Jon in a ritualized and precise manner. Julie began to slowly
suck and nibble on Jon's ear lobe. Mmmm... the taste of clean flesh.
“Thank you, God”, thought Jon. Jon loved it. And Julie knew that this
was what she was meant to do. The scents of sweet jasmine oil wafted,
as Jon felt it massaged into his flesh. He felt like he was a drop in
an ocean of love.
