The Last Man On Earth 2080 AD. ( A freezing Wintry night. A snow covered cabin in the woods.) The last man on earth sat at a table with a revolver In his hand. A kerosene lamp on the table illuminated the room He was planning to end it all due to his boredom and loneliness. After a final look around, he raised the gun to his head and was about to squeeze the trigger when he heard a knocking at his front door Knock ! Knock ! Knock ! Who could it be? He wondered. He thought that the last Great War 3 had wiped out all life on the Planet but him His mind raced “Could it be another survivor?”He thought happily It's been three years since the War. He got up quickly, knocking over a bucket in his haste and rushed towards the door. The knocking was persistent,urgent. Knock ! Knock! Knock! He opened the door quickly and looked to left and then to the right Into the darkness But to his surprise no one was there, Puzzled he wondered If his imagination was playing tricks on him Then, looking down, he saw a huge brown Beetle trying to get in out of the cold. He scooped it up and burst out into laughter.All thoughts of suicide vanishing from his mind.
