There's no escaping the daily grind...

Wake and run

To meet the light

Of day to find

Beyond your sight

Your work begins

But with all might

Come home to bed

To stay the night

Begin again

A newborn day

And round and round

We cannot say

In blindness where

I'm heading to

A ship without

A rudder who

Does circle 'bout

With ghostly crew

A zombie that

I hardly knew

Some selfish break

That we might find

Ourselves in part

We've left behind

Where did I go

Along my climb

Achieve my goals

Were never mine

But to events

That never cease

You must go on

You've signed life's lease

Another year

Another ten

Will find you old

And grey but then

The journey you

Have taken end

To come to rest

Begin again

To wake and run

To meet the light

Come home to bed

To stay the night
