A Look Back at the Lost Summer

Subba Rao

Summer ended abruptly as if somebody  pushed an off button;

China and Pakistan were flooded;

a sabbatical, that's good;

Housing market still at ground floor;

Jobs are few to share;

If we believe in polls, Majority of Americans believe the country is on
the wrong track; Nobody agrees when it began; Some say two years ago;
Others say from a long time;

High income taxes are bad says rich; For jobless no income and no taxes;

Not enough good jobs say middle class; All we have lots of debt to
share;

Trillions for unwanted wars;

Billions for those that caused the crash;

Billions for failed auto industry in Detroit;

Republican say don't look back at the past and vote for them for a new
beginning; A new beginning to what end?

Democrats say stick with them; Stick with them to fell apart?

Burning a holy book to create a fire storm to kill a fire? That's
democracy in action;

What choices we have?
