Written in play form for a change - this is a story about an organization gone wrong, and now the founder is on the run from the feds.

JESS KILGORE           Leader and founder of Talion 

MILES KRAMER           compatriot in Talion:  he is sheltering Jess at
his farm 

MARY KRAMER            Wife of Miles Kramer 

CHARLIE KRAMER         Son of Miles and Mary 

STUART BENNING         Friend of the Kramers 

CANDACE KRAMER         Daughter of Miles and Mary 

MARK YOUNGER           FBI agent 

SHERIFF McKINNEY       Local Sheriff 

DANIEL BILLINGS        FBI agent in charge 

SCENE 1 

(JESS KILGORE, THE FOUNDER OF TALION,  HAS JUST ARRIVED AT HIS FRIEND'S
FARM IN NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS.  HE IS RUNNING FROM THE LAW BECAUSE HE 
HAS KILLED A FEDRAL MARSHAL UP IN NORTH DAKOTA.  MILES KRAMER, HIS 
FRIEND, IS ALSO A LEADER IN THE RIGHT WING MOVEMENT CALLED TALION) 

(THE SCENE OPENS WITH THE TWO MEN SITTING AT A TABLE IN A RUN DOWN
FARMHOUSE.  THE TABLE IS LITTERED WITH BEER CANS AND IT IS VERY EARLY 
IN THE MORNING) 

JESS 

(POUNDING HIS FIST ON THE TABLE) 

Talion is dead! 

MILES 

It's not dead.  You're exhausted, and half drunk. 

JESS 

I'm a fugitive.  The mark of Cain. 

MILES 

It's done.  You can't undo it. 

JESS 

I didn't mean to kill him.  He was a good man.  I told him we could go
back.  Then someone started shooting.  I don't know who.  My windshield 
was shattered and Bea was down in the seat holding her face in her 
hands, with blood everywhere.  I must have got a little crazy.  I got 
my rifle from the back seat and I let go at anything that moved.  All I 
could think of is getting her to a hospital. 

MILES 

So you want to disband Talion?  How will that help? 

JESS 

There's no help for me.  Maybe the kids?  They have a lot of young men.
We have to get them out.  It's a disease, a plague.  An infestation. 

MILES 

You're not making any sense.
