A vindictive poem about a scorned woman who wants to know what it would take to have the love of her heart back in her life. | |||
Name Your Price What would it take to be held in your arms again? Tell me so I can make a bank withdrawal. ~ What would it take to be kissed by those luscious lips again? I need to check if there's a loan available. ~ What would it take to make love to you again? My family is connected. I'll ask for whatever you say. ~ What would it take to belong to you again? I think the Queen is a distant relative. She's old and may die soon. ~ What would it take . . . ~ Wait just a minute! Why am I asking you? Shouldn't you be asking me? After all who walked away? I'm the one waiting. ~ I'm priceless. No money on earth would be enough to possess me. I find value in the love we once shared. Not on what I can get from you. I love with the entire self. Not from behind a closed soul and a sealed heart. ~ Screw it! I'm worth more than you'll ever see in a lifetime. © July 29, 2009 by Lori Tweet
