Poetry Posse challenged us to write a two line couplet. This is mine.

Before you read the poem, I want to give a little background on it. 

Poetry Posse, on Multiply, challenged us to write a two line/one verse
couplet. In the first line we had to use the word "favor." The second 
"refined." We couldn't write about love, passion, hate, anger, or

A friend of mine preached at church Sunday night a sermon entitled "Hide
or Be Hidden." 

Both inspired this poem.

To hide is a complicated favor 

only the refined hidden can savor.
