Life is a constant moving circle. We either let it ride us. Or we take the ride in stride. | |||
Circle of Life As I lie in bed at night, I'm tormented by thoughts and images. Listening to the crickets chirp I envision being held in your arms beside a lake. Looking at the moon I see naked bodies bathed in its wondrous light. Outside the window fireflies twinkle. Makes me think of laughing the dark hours away. Glimpse a shooting star I make a wish knowing it'll never come true. ~ Cars pass by. The pictures blur. A reminder I dream in fantasy land. One I want to live in. A place to break loose. A spot on the earth that doesn't exist except in my head only. ~ Morning comes. Another night passes with little sleep. Drag myself from bed, can't escape the sun. A new light emerges. Reality comes into play. E-mails, phone calls, and a couple hours a week. Those are real things. Oh they are much better than the fantasies in my head. ~ Life is exactly as it should be. © June 25, 2009 by Lori Tweet
