My take on spending Christmas with the family. | |||
A CHRISTMAS POEM The packages were wrapped In brightly colored paper. Ready for the kids To get paper cuts on their tiny fingers. The packages sat under the tree With silk ribbons Wrapped neatly into beautiful bows. Isn't that cute, they're being shredded by the cat. The tree is such a delight to see. Its beauty brings a tear to my eye, Or is it the smoke? I do believe your tree is on fire. Standing below the mistletoe I wait patently for my Christmas kiss. I've been standing for an hour. Will someone please wake up my wife? The turkey dinner was wonderful Golden in color. With every bite a juicy delight It's too bad it gave me salmonella. The day is ending. It's time for me to say goodnight. I wish you a Merry Christmas, And I'm sorry I knocked out your Great Aunt Bertha Tweet
