A rather long one, but well worth the read if you stay with it. Its about the things associated with being forgiven.
 



Forgiven 

~ 

Couldn't comprehend Your ways. 

Wouldn't see beyond 

the nose on my face. 

Turned from You, 

looked to this world. 

Gave up on salvation 

with words spoken in dishonor. 

Didn't care about Your will. 

Couldn't give up the “rewards” 

of the flesh. 

~ 

I'm a mere mortal, 

looking to have my way. 

I'm a human being, 

born unto the flesh. 

I'm a woman, 

searching for love in all the wrong places. 

I'm a man, 

seeing meaning where there's none. 

I'm a soul, 

lost in transgressions. 

~ 

You carried me through life, 

protected me from harm. 

Stretched Your arms wide, 

allowed me to be who I am. 

Knew the love searched for 

could only be found in Your hands. 

Recognized meaning 

could only be found in the blood of the Lamb. 

~ 

I'm a mere mortal, 

looking for a place. 

I'm a human being, 

trying to change my ways. 

I'm a woman,
