freedom

O willow tree give to me sweetest liberty.

You gave me life that's full of strife,

Now give me one that's free.

.

O willow tree give to me

Freedom from misery.

I've had no life; I've had no love,

Now give them both to me.

.

I'm tired of being sick and poor

Of this life you gave to me,

Now give me one where I'll have fun;

‘Tis no sin to laugh you see.

.

O willow tree; O willow tree,

Why can't you pity me?

I only want what one should want

And that's a life that's free.
