A dedication to my husband, who showed me how to live. | |||
Would I be the fool to let you see me cry? To give you the key into my world tonight? I try to be so strong, don't let you see into me Where pain and heartache live so free With determination and the firmest love You refuse to look away when my heart breaks You infuse me with your strength and life Show me that there is always a way When my family seeks to break me Destroy the happiness that I have found You remind me that they can't reach me That you're my one and only world now Would I be the fool to let you see me cry? To give you the key into my world tonight? You and I both know that is already too late I've given you my everything, my life Without you, I am weak, I can't breathe Without you, I am a dead husk of former living I've cried before you, my tears you kissed away I've given you the key, but you didn't lock me away To the man who makes every day worth living I look forward to the days we will share My eyes will never wander, my love will never dull You're the who gave me life and without you... It is taken away. Tweet
