A poem about changes that are dark and strange within one. | |||
There's a mystery of epic proportions stirring me awake Lifting corners, opening doors, picking clues all inside of me So many questions raising eyebrows, tickling the curiousity There's something mysterious, something new at work within Ignoring all the different views, trying to keep the focus straight But the spell has been set, and my vision is torn away Locked in the mystery that has become me, A fabrication of my best tales beset Wonder if I can solve it before me it bests. The dischorded keys play the haunting tune That moves my feet to silence Walking on the broken glass that burns like tainted fire Colored red by the blood of my pain Soaking the floor that was never there The mystery still grows far more, confusing my mind Tying me in knots, turning me around, until I'm so lost I can't find up or down Perhaps, as the wave of the past sweeps me away I will find the anchor that will at last bring me to peace.
