a child's pain | |||
I reach out to touch her as she sits quietly there, But she pushes me away, seemingly without a care. I see that gentle face and just want to kiss her, But she screams,"No", and my emotions become a blur. All I want to do is take away her pain, But only she can do that, my attempts are all in vain. She says that I should just stay as I am, That she is trying to heal herself, my sweet little lamb. Oh God, how can you allow so much sorrow, How brave she is as she faces each tomorrow. Tweet
