Something is missing...

Forever Lost

You leave. I sit. Alone.

What just happened?

Where is it?

That thing I lost so long ago.

It used to keep me safe!

Safe, away from greed and poverty and sickness and lust.

What used to keep me for hours in the fields of useless thought, is
gone.

Where I used to stay when demons slept near me and laughed in my face,
has moved.

What once comforted me when life was too much and I couldn't keep my
head above water, has drown.

Where is the thing that was in my heart and kept me far from you?

Here, with you, in pain and lust and sinful greed.

It was you, you stole it.

You stole my heart, my mind, my love and my life, and now you have it
too.

To put in the back of your mind.

Along with all the things you have stolen from me, you now have the
thing most precious.

My heart, my mind, my love and my life...and now- you have my innocence.
December 2 2k Katie
