What happens when I'm left alone and aroused all night. | |||
“How can I say what's right, when all I wanna do is wrong?” -Prince “Get Off” Because you weren't around last night... I had to go do terrible things. I thought of you over and over As I rose and fell over and over Like the waves. I walked for mile in the dark. And drank for an hour. Or did I drink for a mile and walk for an hour? I looked in all the places I'd thought you'd be. I waited up all night, knowing you weren't showing. But I just couldn't sleep. I played solitaire blues cards Smoked cigarrettes that curled out Heart shaped clouds of smoke. Sometimes they spelled your name. I'm not even awake as I right this. This is just a dream. Because nothing's real tonight. Just a specter in the mirror. And a shadow over a matchbook. It's nighttime down south. Tweet
