Hopes and dreams, baby, that's all, hopes and dreams.
 



When I first saw you 

(and the only way I've seen you still) 

You were a collection of one's and zeroes 

That managed to fry my circuitry. 

I read your words, 

Your passion for life 

Your sensuality. 

Your love of your man. 

And I said to myself, 

"THAT'S the kind of woman I need." 

But I knew you were there, and I 

Am ever here, and 

He's some Greek God 

(el presidente of some Kappa Kiddie Kangaroo). 

There was just no way. 

And I? 

How the hell is little ol' 

Broke-ass, fifth-year junior, 

me with my fuck-busted car 

my pack a day habit 

And my penchant for shoving my foot 

DIRECTLY down my throat 

Gonna ever have a prayer in heaven, hell, 

Or any point in between? 

And you were so in love. 

I longed so much for someone 

To feel that way about me. 

And I also read his words, and 

I'm sorry to say, 

i liked the fucker. 

i wanted to hate'im. 

i just couldn't. 

So I sat and watched and waited. 

I sent you words. 

Encouragement. 

What little wisdom was mine to impart. 

But all that time I wanted that love. 

I wanted someone to feel that way,
