To Autumn winds about my love of winter.

Autumn Winds

~*~

Tease me not, oh, autumn wind,

Leave me be- have winter send,

Don't chill my form with icy whisps,

Or bother feet with gold leaf crisps,

Goosebumps form from waiting now,

Off you go and new come shall,

Leave the colors of orange brown,

Release thy throne give up thy crown,

Fall rules the countryside no more,

Winter winds prevail this shore,

Give whites and grays to whom here wait,

Now stand upon St. Peter's gate,

With autumn fading soon and quick,

Snowfall lights brighter wick,

Mercury ice rises hope within,

Comforts nights with bed chillin',

So here I wait for precious days,

Endure the fall weather stays,

Whom ridicules the want of mine,

For hail tempts my mind as fine,

But fall here is and will not go,

Pass chills of wind and send down snow,

To enjoy the bliss of consuming white,

Even in the dark of night,

Evils lurk within our souls,

But with winter lights and warmth of coals,

Lighter 'lumination sweeps the round,

Happiness was lost but found,

Carols play within peoples hearts,

Day of yesterday with a new starts,

So sing with me my autumn wind,

For with the future you contend,

As I laugh away the last your day,

To new season soon come I pray,

You wrap me round and have me fly,

To be one as you and the sky,
