It all boils down to four letters that matter most. | |||
Exacting in its difficulty... Steadfast in its persistence... Forever easy to be misunderstood. Excitement in knowing... Adrenaline fear in not... Chaotic harmony modulated by strained loss and remembrance. Chorded dissonance upon a troubled mind... Euphoria in faded madness... Sorrows drawn in misty rain. Never mind the depth... Never mind the heart... Forget the cold shoulder of Lonely... Forget impassioned caring... Fallow emotions can't always make the other grass greener... A nail can only be struck so many times before it stops. Strung together whispers plucked from reach... Pretending someone is calling your name... Waking up to hushed silence... A new dawn says so long. Can the sharpest edge of light, The most insignificant sliver of hope, Begin to cast aside darkness, Can you tell me, try as you might? © J. Nicklaus, September 2002 Tweet
