When you're always there. | |||
Each night sleep entreats me To gently slip between the nether bonds of weary consciousness And the uncertain Heart of Matters The same place I spend my waking hours Captured by the remnants of silky memories Trapped by logic and its vacuum of time I instinctively know Physically feel How I need the uncomfortable serenity of darkness Wrapped in the tempestuous security of my greater need for You The foolish simplicity of slumber blurs into the glaring truth of morning Burnt offerings of dreams slowly fade to ashes Kept warm by another day missing you. Between the absurdity of absence and presence I maintain my vigilance in the long forever My Heart bound with the absoluteness of loving And the certainty of a soul intertwined with yours.
