A poem about a small garden in an old ante-bellum mansion in Natchez, Mississippi. | |||
Garden of My Summer Dreams by J P St. Jullian Happy days mirrored here; Mossed sundial, Smells of mint, thyme and lemon wafts Into an aura of serene contentment. Winding cobblestone path, Boxwood borders lingering, waiting for the twilight. Songbird's litany Falling like droplets of cool water, Lilies growing, trailing roses brushing my hand. Butterflies feasting, lavender delight! Coral-bells luring hummingbirds to feast, Moonlit skies that mirror daisies in the nighttime stars. Dreaming as I walk a cobbled garden path, and Peace falling, like prayer on my weary heart. Tweet
