This is an actual account of a dream I had as a youth. Was I touched by the heavens above during a time of difficulty?. Yes I believe so | |||
Over the years, I had often pondered what the reason for this particular dream was. Granted it was during a time in my life in which as a young adolescent, I faced many difficulties. As a youth we all do. My circumstances may strike home with some, however not everyone can honestly say they understand. To shed a little background as this is the only way to me at least this makes any semblance of sense, I will relay a little of what I faced. I was about fourteen years old at the time and in Junior High School when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It was difficult for us all. I have 5 other siblings consisting of 3 married older brothers and a sister, at home there was my brother, my father, mother, and myself. Well, of course for all of us it was a very difficult time. Mom had her good days and bad days. We survived through the rough times together. I remember at the time being angry with everyone, more I was angry at God for doing this to us. Unfortunately, as time passed, the disease progressed. Now you wonder where this dream comes into play, well read on........ In my dream, I remember laying in my bed. Now my bed was huge, not a king sized one but a big bed nonetheless. In the bed with me was my sister, and a few other people, however as dreams go, not everyone is to determine or see all that are there. I remember also that surrounding my bed were more people, so many I couldn't count scattered on the floor under covers. In my bedroom there was a huge picture window, a little larger than what one would see in a larger styled home. Now let me ask you to visualize what it is like after a storm, where the clouds are dark and you see the first rays of sun peeking through the dense grey clouds. How the rays seem to brighten the area and warm the air. Think about the heat of the sun as it beams down onto you. Hold that feeling and that visual. In my dream I had sat up and looked towards the window. Into the room shone this ray of light, almost like that of a flashlight only more powerful, more strength if you could say that. The light had no immediate direction as it shone over the people that lay on my floor. I sat there watching the light partially in fear, but more in awe as it touched on people and moved onwards. The light grew closer to where I sat, and I lay down. The ray had shone into my face, then travelled to my chest. I remember feeling an intense heat as it touched me, starting in my chest where my heart was and flowing outward though my body, radiating as it flowed through my veins. I recall so vividly the feeling of comfort that washed over me. When I woke up the next morning, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility as the same intensity flowed through me as had in my dream. Now I am not certain and I will not question exactly what had transpired, least I don't question that any more. I only know I felt at peace despite the difficult times our family faced. Do I think I was touched by God? A Guardian Angel that perhaps was soothing me at such a difficult time. Yes, I believe that so. Tweet
