Jeff Tannon is sent from Earth to the Athens space station where he meets a group of Mobile unit piolts/bounty hunters. But why was he sent from Earth? The mystery begins. | |||
Chapter 1.0 A group of men stood around him, as he lie on the floor. His face cut, his arms behind his back in handcuffs, and his legs bound at the ankle. His eyes slowly started to open and he could see the men that surrounded him, but he couldn't figure out who the were. "So you decided to wake up?" asked a voice. He turned his head to see a man with a set of bi-focals resting on his nose. "Gil, is that you?" he asked the man. He only looked down at him and smiled, "Of course it's me Jeff, who else would kidnap you?" "Maybe a group Confederate or Union troops, but then again they woulda' shot me by now." Jeff answered. Gil smiled, and let out a slight laugh. He pointed to Jeff and two men picked him up off the ground. "So Jeff.....what's it feel like to know this is your last day on Earth?" Gil asked him quietly. "So now you plan to kill me too? Wow Gil, what a low way to grow up huh?" he said. It seemed almost impossible that Gil would kill one of his best friends. "Kill you? Oh my god, where the hell did you get an idea like that? If I killed you then you'd still be on Earth. I plan to get you off the planet." "What, are you crazy?! That means you're gonna'," "Correct Jeff. My you catch on very fast. We're sending you to space station 'Athens'. You can live there for the next few years." Gil replied quickly. Jeff's eyes grew wide in shock and terror. He had lived on Earth all his life, and had never even gone on a vacation to another planet. He had never been out of Earth's atmosphere, and now his friend was sending him to a space station. He knew what Gil's real plan was: send him to a Confederate controlled station and destroy it. Gil was all about getting rid of the confederacy, but nobody was sure if he was a rebel or Union troop. Something seemed strangely wrong though, why would he want Jeff killed? They had been good friends ever sense they started together as partners at the Police Training Academy. If it wasn't for the PTA they would've never met each other, and they wouldn't be friends. Still something troubled Jeff. "Gil, what in the name of god are you doin' this for anyway?" he asked. "You'll find out once you get to Athens." Gil replied with a smile. Suddenly, like before, Jeff was knocked out. When he awoke he found himself already taken off and heading for space. He was tied down to the seat in which he sat, and nobody was aboard except for a few thugs. As he looked out the window he could see the Earth getting smaller and smaller. Soon it was just a big blue ball in space. He was now looking at the world he loved from more than 200,000 miles away. The super-sonic craft would reach the space station in a few moments, but Jeff wanted to be back on Earth. Nothing made him more angry then the fact that his home was so far away, but Gil knew what he was doing. So it seemed at least. Jeff sat in his seat, waiting to arrive at the space station with a very short temper. "Once I get my hands on Gil, I swear I'll kill him." he said to himself. He looked around once again as a thug walked towards him. "We're here," he said calmly "I'm gonna' un-tie you now. But you try anything and you'll get your knee shot off...got it?" Jeff nodded as the man un-tied him. He got up and stretched, being tied Click here to read the rest of this story (857 more lines)
