Those annoying telemarketer calls can be fun ... | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story like “listen, Ralph, I've got this call on the other line and, if I play my cards right, there's a lawsuit in the making.” Then, press a key again and say “yes, can I help you?” See where that conversation goes from there. This one takes a portable phone. As you answer it, and realize who it is, walk into the bathroom. Flush the toilet. When it fills, flush it again. Flush it a third time. Then say “you don't happen to be selling plungers, do you?” Okay, here's one that takes a room full of people. Someone answers the phone, and the telemarketer asks for a specific person. Say “just a minute please”, put the phone down, and have someone else pick it up and say “hello.” Then, when they ask for that person again, say “just a minute please”, put the phone down, and someone ELSE picks it up and says “hello.” Continue this vicious cycle until the telemarketer has had enough. As an added bonus, you can take bets on how many people will get to say “hello.” Here's one that's fun for the whole family. When a telemarketer asks for either Mr. or Mrs. Soandso, say “just a minute please” and hand the phone to one of your children. This works best if your kids are under the age of seven. Finally, here's a method to get someone involved that's not even in your house. When the dreaded call comes, and they ask for Mr. or Mrs. Soandso, say “just a minute please”, go to three way calling, pick a number at random out of the phone directory, call them, and, when they answer, let the telemarketer talk to them.
