From A Window (standard:poetry, 111 words)

A poem about long distance love

Someday you say you'll be free

Free from the gloom of these streets

And I travelled for miles to a place

Saw the ocean, felt the wind on my face

But nothing could take me from you

Nothing could wish it away

And I know I'll come back there someday

What your heart doesn't know never hurts you

But I felt you, I breathed you so long

Here as I watch from this window

The yearning just goes on and on

How does it look from your window?

Are your thoughts somewhere else far away?

There's a place over oceans we dream of

And I know we'll come back there someday
