A POEM ABOUT A LOVER WHO NO LONGER WANTS TO BE WITH THE OTHER

Goodbye 

I'm not sure if this is the last thing I'll ever write to you; 

I'm sure that with your pain and mine; our relationship is through. 

I am somehow holding my tears inside because I don't want to cry. 

I just want to let you live your life, so I'm going to say goodbye. 

I'll never forget our good times, they always will remain in my heart. 

Sometimes I know that it's best for us; other times, I don't want to
depart. 

But I'm unable to take care of a family,  you can blame everything on
me. 

I promised you some kind of wonderful life, I couldn't handle
responsibility. 

I guess I should tell you how I feel, I have made some terrible
mistakes. 

The DUI really destroyed everything; my rank I would rather have had
them take. 

I guess in the end, consequences were rough, they have destroyed my
life. 

It has taken the dreams I've worked up through these months; damn, it's
taken my wife. 

I hope that what you said on the phone about regretting ever being with
me wasn't true. 

I know for a fact, that you are great and I don't regret being with you.


I held my tears in long enough and so I'm going to go somewhere, hide,
and cry. 

I just want to say I love you,  I'm sorry I didn't work, goodbye.
