Why Did It Change? (standard:poetry, 83 words)
Author: Julia McGintyAdded: Oct 05 2001Views/Reads: 3430/1Story vote: 0.00 (0 votes)
About a woman who feels rejected by her mother.

Not too long ago

You held me in your arms

Cooing over my 'cuteness'

Laughing when I vomited on your shoulder

Not too long ago

I was your precious angel

The apple of your eye, the light of your life

The cream of the crop

Not too long ago

You thought the world of me

And I thought the world of you

No matter what I did wrong

I was forgiven

No matter my crime

It was forgotten

Why did that all change?
