A poem I wrote a moment in my life where things became clear. | |||
It lies and lays, Its speaks and says, Nothing you wanted to hear. It touches and feels, It subconciously steals, as the laughter rings in your ear. It points as it ridicules, It makes all feel like perfect fools. As the leaves begin to fall. Covering my emerald eyes, and dream up perfect lies to make you see the flaws in all. I create with my mind a place you'll never find, with no spite to get the best of me I build in myself the perfect soul. To get where I am I never stole, or set my sights too far to see. To claim to be envied, wouldnt plant a seed, where my soul could perfectly grow. Yet to want to be loved, was to feel pushed and shoved and skeptical of friend or foe. When out of the blue, in an unripe hue, there appears a perfect essence. To which I cry, "We may as well queue to die. for the spirit remains as flawless." And all turn away, with no pleas to stay, as everyone turns to perfect stone. Along with emerald eyes, they all look toward the skies and the perfect soul realizes he is alone. Tweet
