Carly skips work and spends the morning in the park, where she meets this boy. They go out on a date, but things don't turn out how she expects. | |||
Carly rushed to the bus stop, but as she reached it the bus went past without stopping - the next one wouldn't arrive for at least another hour, so she decided to go home and that is where she stayed for the rest of the day. The next morning, she got up, looked through the window and thought how glorious it looked outside. She was thinking of not going to work, but after missing work the day before, she thought better of it. After getting ready Carly made her way to the bus stop. When the bus arrived, she got on and said to the driver: ‘You were a bit early yesterday. You went straight past me just as I got to the stop.' ‘Not my fault, love. If you were that concerned about missing the bus, you should have turned up at the stop earlier. Then you wouldn't have missed it, would you?' Carly was angry with the driver's remarks. She felt like getting off the bus, but she had no option; she had to go to work, but when she got off at the usual stop, she kept thinking what a lovely day it was, so she went to the park instead. Once at the park, Carly found a bench in the shade. She sat down and took a book out of her rucksack and started reading it. While reading it, she looked up and saw this boy walking straight towards her. He had dark smouldering eyes and looks to kill for. ‘You all right?' he asked once he had reached the bench Carly was sitting on. ‘Yeah, I'm fine.' ‘Can I buy you an ice cream?' Well, she wasn't going to say no, was she? And it was a hot morning. Carly was going to go to work in the afternoon but meeting this boy had changed everything. After finishing their ice creams, they spent ages walking around the park, just talking and telling each other about themselves. Then, after a while, they decided to go into town. And once they were in town he asked her if she fancied going to the cinema later that evening. She agreed. When Carly got home, she could believe her luck - meeting a boy like him in the park. Later she made her way to get the bus to town. ‘You all right?' he asked her when she met him outside the cinema. ‘Yeah, I'm fine. Buying me ice cream before we go in?' ‘I bought you one this morning in the park. You don't want another one already, do you?' Carly thought what he had just said was funny and they were both laughed as they made their way in to see the film. After coming out of the cinema, they went to a nearby coffee shop. They had such a wonderful time that he asked her if she fancied meeting him again, at a restaurant in town, the next night. Of course, she had to say yes. When Carly got home she went straight to bed. She knew she had to go in to work the following morning. If she took any time off she would be in trouble. When the next morning came Carly got out of bed and after getting ready, made her way to work. She didn't feel like going but she had no choice. She knew the manager wasn't going to be pleased if she didn't turn up. Click here to read the rest of this story (61 more lines)
