Alice manages to get a date with her friend's boyfriend. Keep reading to see how the story unfolds | |||
It was one of those days: clouds hanging low in the sky. It was only a matter of time before the rain would fall, but Alice just kept on walking, which was nowhere in particular. She was thinking of going to her mate's house. But why would she want to go there? Elise had been so nasty to her lately. Alice wasn't going to forget that. So she carried on towards the park. Once in the park, she sat on a bench. Opposite her, there was this boy just sitting there as though he hadn't a care in the world. Alice thought he was really good-looking. If only she had a reason to go over and talk to him, but she had a surprise - he came over to her. She couldn't believe her luck. 'You OK?' he asked her. ‘Yeah, I'm fine. Can I help you? Or have you just come over to stare at me?' 'I've come over to ask you a question.' 'You'd better ask then, hadn't you?' ‘Fancy a coffee?' Well, this good-looking boy had come up to her and asked her if she fancied a coffee. Well, she wasn't going to say, no, was she? So they headed towards the nearest place selling coffee, which happened to be Costa. 'What do you want then,' he asked her once they were inside Costa. ‘A latte will do fine,' she answered. They took a cosy couple of seats in the corner. Alice had never felt so happy. He was gorgeous and she knew it. She couldn't keep her eyes off him as she sipped her latte. After coming out of Costa, they went and sat in the park. It was such a glorious day. The sun was beaming down as though it didn't have a care in the world. Later he walked her home, that was after they had spent ages in the park, telling each other about themselves. They were both in the same college. And both had an interest in football, which was a bit of a surprise to the boy. Alice was a Manchester United fan. She had been for ages. Her dad had taken her quite a few times when she was younger. Alice got inside her house and headed straight to her bedroom. Her head was somewhere in the clouds. She couldn't stop thinking about him, and they were meeting each other again later, this time outside of the cinema. There was this good film that they both wanted to see. After having her tea, Alice made her way up to her bedroom to get ready. Excitement was etched on her face, and it wasn't going to come off any day soon. She must have pulled her wardrobe to pieces to look for something suitable to wear. Then she saw this top that would be ideal. She found her favourite jeans, then changed into them. She felt amazing. She couldn't wait till she got to the cinema. When Alice got to the cinema. She waited for ages. She knew he wasn't going to come. She was feeling so disappointed. She went to walk away as tears started to stream down her face. She had never felt so awful. She wanted to curl up and die on the spot. She felt that bad. Life at this minute couldn't get any worse. Then something amazing happened. Elise walked up to her. ‘Waiting for someone, are we?' ‘What's it got to do with you?' Alice asked her in anger. ‘Look over there,' she said, pointing to the cinema entrance, and there Click here to read the rest of this story (48 more lines)
