A river of escape- or not

I wish I could find a river to skate away on 

One which enabled me to get away from it all 

A river to everywhere 

But also leading to nowhere 

Where is this river? 

There is no such river 

No such escape from this so called...Life 

For if there was 

We would all skate it 

And then it- our escape- would crumble 

The ice upon we skate. . . crushed 

Our only way out, our only escape, our only hope. . . gone
